New Comic Trade Releases

Spread the love

If you missed out on the individual releases of Clive Barker Comics, The Great and Secret Show and/or Clive Barker’s Next Testament, they are both scheduled for Trade re-released by their respective companies.

The Great And Secret Show will be available August, 2019 by IDW Publishing. This is one of my favorite comic adaptations of a Clive Barker novel, and it’s not to be missed. The only bad thing about this series is that they didn’t continue on into Everville. No price announced yet.

Clive Barker’s sprawling epic begins inside a Nebraska dead letter office, where Randolph Jaffe’s quest to possess the Art sets into motion a battle between the forces of light and dark. This lushly illustrated tale is equal parts horror, fantasy, and love by one of the masters of the genre. Also included is the horrific standalone tale, “Seduth,” as well as annotations by writer Chris Ryall and artist Gabriel Rodriguez.

Clive Barker’s Next Testament asks, what if God were to come back to Earth, and he were a jerk? Apocalyptic adventure ensues. Originally a 12-issue run by Boom comics, Next Testament will be available in collected format August 28th, 2019 for $29.99 from Boom Studios. Written by Clive Barker and Mark Alan Miller, with Art by Haemi Jang.

Finally collected in one complete volume, experience the terrifying madness of Master of Horrorfs first original comic book series, Clive Barkerfs Next Testament . Julian Demond is a captain of industry who left behind everything and began a walkabout, believing himself to be on a mission from above. He soon discovers a figure unlike any other, one who calls himself Wickcand claims to be God. Bestselling author Clive Barker, co-writer Mark Alan Miller (Clive Barkerfs Hellraiser), and internationally acclaimed artist Haemi Jang ( Clive Barkerfs Hellraiser: The Road Below ) come together for a thrilling story not of this world. Will you be picking these up? I love trade editions like these, and would definitely get them if I didn’t have these comics already.
