“Candyman” Script Has Been Written
In an older report back in late November from the entertainment site Mashable, it appears that the script for the Candyman “spiritual sequel” has already been written according to co-writer Win Rosenfeld who shared the news on his Twitter account:
Since the new script is finished, I’m curious to know where the filmmakers have taken the story. I still think the “Bride of the Candyman” storyline is the way to go, but whatever they’ve come up with, I’m sure it will be worth it. I’m also hoping the character of Jake returns as well.

Candyman is slated for a June 2020 release.
