160 : We Hope This Annoys the Resellers

Spread the love

Welcome, and thanks for listening to the Clive Barker Podcast, the only podcast dedicated to the imagination of Clive Barker.  Did you see how I changed it up there? I was so proud, I thought I had made up “the works and worlds of Clive Barker” but in reality I was recalling a subtitle from Phil and Sarah Stokes’ Memory Prophecy and Fantasy” biographical series on Clive.  So It turns out I didn’t make that up. If you knew that already, or you are Phil and Sarah, sorry about that. It was in the back of my mind for good reason, it’s a neat phrase that does a good job summing up what we all like to celebrate, but now that I figured it out, I don’t feel right about stealing it.

Anyway, this is episode 160, where Ryan Danhauser and Jose Leitao talk about Clive Barker news, including an original rare book is getting re-printed, more news about the Nightbreed Cabal Cut, a Clive Barker book bundle, news about Paul Kane’s Hellraisers and more.  We also are starting to think about this year’s fundraiser, and that means we’ll have some cool stuff to buy around the holiday time (maybe just a little later). We’re doing most of the work, but we consider ourselves part of the community, so we want your feedback on that.

Show Notes

Clive Barker News for The Magician/History of the Devil currently going on at Goodreads:

Discussion: Feedback and ideas for this year’s Fundraiser Kickstarter. Do you have any ideas or things you would like to see?

  • Paul Flewitt More of the same, I’d say. I’d like to hear more interviews with Barkerverse personalities. We’ve had quite a few from the Hellraiser and Nightbreed worlds, so how about trying to get some of the graphic novel writers and artists? Dig deeper?

And this podcast, having no beginning, will have no end.

The Clive Barker Podcast (or @Barkercast) is an independent  editorial fan site and podcast that is not affiliated with or under contract by Clive Barker or Seraphim Films.  This is a labor of love by the fans, for the fans.
