Latest Update on the Scarlet Gospels Deluxe Edition

Revelations official Facebook page just posted this update on the Earthling Publications Deluxe Special Edition of The Scarlet Gospels. Here’s what they had to say:

“Clive Barker‘s THE SCARLET GOSPELS is in late production at the printer and should be with me as early as next week, then slipcases will be made for that book as well. Both should be ready before Xmas. And here is proof: pics of the finished THICKET hardcover, and the printer proofs for GOSPELS dustjacket and interior art are below.”

I really enjoyed The Scarlet Gospels, but lets face it the fan reaction was certainly mixed. I enjoyed the swift and on the edge of your seat pace the story had while others yearned for a much deeper novel in the classic Barker style of some of his earlier books like Imajica and The Great and Secret Show. I’ve looked back at some of my favorite chapters from the book and they still hold up nicely and I would love to have gotten this deluxe edition, but the hefty price tag kept me at bay. Luckily though, one of our favorite listeners David Anderson is getting a copy of this and we’re hoping he’ll do a review of the set. I’m sure it’s going to be something very special.
