A preview show will run on November 5th, the opening of the show will take place on the 6th, and then run from the 7th,8th,12th,13th,14th, and 15th, and finally Pay What You Can shows will last the 16th,19th,20th,21st,and the closing show will take place on the 22nd in Minneapolis, MN where the stage company is located.

Here’s their official press release from their Facebook site:

We at Shadow Horse Theater, LLC are proud to announce the final show of our 2015 Season. Clive Barker’s THE HISTORY OF THE DEVIL. After last years successful performance of CRAZYFACE, we are thrilled to be returning to the work of Mr. Barker with his support. Directed by CRAZYFACE director Paul Von Stoetzl.
A deprived and lovelorn Satan is sick of living in Hell. He bemoans the loss of his angel-wings, his freedom of flight, his elegance and grace. And most of all, he misses God. So he calls a trial, his appeal, to seek re-admittance into Heaven. As the trial moves through space and time, we revisit scenes of humanity’s great failures – or maybe they’re actually the work of the Devil, his own wicked crimes? If Satan wins his day in court, he’ll be with his Father in Heaven. And if he loses? He’ll spend eternity here with us – on Earth. Phoenix Theater will become the courtroom where Heaven and Hell meet on Earth to judge The Devil himself.
Preview- Thurs Nov 5th, Opens Nov 6, running Nov 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, Pay What You Can-Monday Nov 16, Nov 19, 20, 21, and closing Nov 22nd. Direct Message Paul here on Facebook if you want to submit for casting consideration. Thank you!

I’d love to see a performance of this play, and in fact our very own podcast creator Jose Leitao was able to attend a one earlier in the year in Phoenix. I also highly recommend reading this and it can be found in the book Incarnations: Three Plays that was released back in 1995. It made me look at the devil character in a whole new way.

Shadow Horse Theatre has history with Clive Barker plays, and they have previously done a production of Crazyface.
