Clive Barker’s Creepy Pasta

Over at Variety they’re reporting another new Clive Barker TV series called Creepy Pasta is on the way from Machinima, the Warner Bros.-backed digital media company. Here’s what they had to say about the project:

Clive Barker’s “Creepy Pasta”: In this live-action series, Barker enters the world of Internet horror fan fiction, affectionately known as “creepy pasta,” covering such viral urban legends as Slender Man and Ben Drowned

Also, the horror site Bleeding Cool has shared some more news on the project explaining what exactly what the term Creepy Pasta means:

Creepypasta is the collective term for short horror stories, fanfiction, videos or other media, shared online with the aim of freaking out the reader. Takes after the act of “copypasta”, postng the same thing again and again across the net, creepypastas can take the form of animated gifs or games as well… they can also include supposedly lost episodes of TV shows that feature death, or something downright odd.

It sounds pretty interesting especially the Slender Man and Ben Drowned urban legends being somehow connected to the stories. I find the the Slender Man story personally to be down right scary. We’ll keep you updated as more news comes in.
